Yeong Guan Group signs MoU with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy
YG Group is pleased to announce today that we have signed a non‐binding MoU with Siemens Gamesa
Renewable Energy (SGRE).
This collaboration is aimed at strengthening the offshore wind supply chain in Taiwan, while for YG Group, it will
provide an advantage in becoming a key supplier in offshore wind energy in Asia Pacific.
Currently 20 wind farms in Taiwan have passed the environmental impact assessment which is equivalent to an
installation capacity of approximately 10.5GW, according to Dr. Chuan‐Neng Lin, Director General of the Bureau
of Energy at the Ministry of Economic Affairs. YG and SGRE have agreed to this strategic collaboration to further
develop the significant opportunities in Taiwan and Asia Pacific.
SGRE, one of the world’s leading providers of wind power products and solutions, as well as long‐term customer
of YG Group, opened its new Taipei office to serve as its regional offshore wind hub in Asia‐Pacific (APAC)
excluding mainland China in 2017.
